I reviewed this place a few years ago and gave it five stars! Since that time, I've repeatedly been back and repeatedly had wonderful experiences so I wanted to add little bit more to my review. Being a military spouse, we've moved around a lot and I have experienced many different mammogram technicians. My technician, Jennifer W., Is the reason I return. She is friendly, fast, efficient, proficient, gentle, personable, but yet professional. I will return and it is because of her as when we first moved here, another location was recommended, and it was the most painful mammogram I've ever had and it had to be repeated! American radiology in Prince Frederick is lucky to have such a well-rounded, skilled technician because mammograms are no fun but they're very much needed!

After almost a decade of being an established client (and having at least 4 great experiences I can recall) I can no longer have examinations done because of a stint put in place during a gallbladder surgery in 2006. If you don't have the information for any surgical implants in record, they won't see you. Not even if you are willing to sign a waiver.

Was treated with compassion (and a little bit of humor) by the staff. The procedure was quick and painless. Will come back if I need any further tests.

Update: The day after I posted my negative review, the site manager called me for additional details. She gave me every reason to believe that she will not tolerate the kind of behavior I witnessed. I was additionally impressed that she never requested me to remove or update my review. I will be raising my original score from two stars to four, as I am currently trusting that she will make the necessary changes to the reception team. I will give them another chance in the future (as no doubt I will need more x-rays in the future) and will give a completely new review at that time. Original: While my personal experience was perfectly fine, I was horrified by what I witnessed in the lobby. I was an hour early, so I unfortunately saw the receptionist staff cruelly verbally attack two separate senior gentlemen. The supervisor came out once, sided with her staff (although her tone was respectful) and disappeared before the problem was resolved. In retrospect, I wish I had recorded the exchanges. I wonder if management is aware the power trip three out of five receptionists clearly enjoyed. There was no excuse to treat ANYONE with the level of loud disrespect I witnessed, much less to see the same women dish it out to patient after patient. It made me cry.
